Vineyard: Sourced from 30+ year old vines in the village of Marsannay.
Viticulture: The vineyard is farmed using biodynamic practices and all grapes are harvested by hand, sorted once in the vineyard and again at the winery. Up to 10% of the crop may be rejected.
Vinification: Vinification with traditional methods, open vat fermentation using native yeasts, Around 10-20% stem inclusion and minimal use of sulphur.
Aging: The wine is aged in French barriques of which around 10-15% is new.
Bright, dark red. Complex, ripe nose combines musky raspberry, spices and sexy earth tones. Concentrated and juicy in the mouth, with good spicy lift and energy. Distinctly firm tannins are well buffered by fruit on the spicy, lingering finish.
