Post Parade wines was the vision of Kentucky born Brook Smith and pays homage to Brook’s love of horses and racing. The name Post Parade refers to the moment when thoroughbred horses walk onto the racetrack, minutes before stepping into the starting gate. This is a rare moment of perfection, anticipation and hard work. This transcendent moment translates into a shared winemaking and viticultural vision, without losing sight of the Kentucky roots.
Famed Napa Valley winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown has led the winemaking of Post Parade since the inaugural vintage in 2010. In 2020, Thomas and Frank Dotzler (Outpost Wine, Pulido Walker, Mending Wall) became partners in Post Parade.
The wines of Post Parade are focused on Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from some of the Valley’s best sites – Panek Vineyard, Tofanelli Vineyard, Oakville Ranch and Kenefick Ranch. There are two wines in the Post Parade stable, Stretch Drive Cabernet and the flagship bottling Post Parade. Typical of Thomas’ winemaking, the wines posses a deep, powerful fruit character while capturing the nuances of site and balancing tannins.
